events The word occurrence is a general term for that which happens, the word event more specifically denotes a happening of some significance. The student world is largely unlilce the worlc- r. a-day world. 'ff halfway between tedium and apathy, and when in this frame of mind, the Friday night banquet or the class picnic are the only bright ,.. spots in sight. Events assume more than their intrinsic share of importancefwhether it be a formal dinner, an evening program, a club outing, or a lhespian playfand in later years, the memory of the ever-present pressure and pain yields to fond reminiscence of the Big Events. l The formal dinner party.
