The situation - nearly fourteen hundred stu- dents crowded into space designed to meet the needs of tive hundred. The need - ade- quate buildings: a library addition, a girl's dormitory, a science building, -and a stu- dent center. Buildings meant money. Money indicated a campaign. The goal was set at 251,000,000 Calvin Week was instituted. The campaign was launched on November l0, 1947, when six thousand regional workers
