'fssfff,:11,-- ggi.. fl ' kliififi -' - Dedication To Mr. Albert Diringer, we, the class of l96l, dedicate the thirty-fifth edition of the Calvertana to show our admiration and respect for him. Through our four years at Calvert he has been a shining example, teacher, advisor and friend. Mr. Diringer has proved to be a shining example by his actions and principles, some of the latter which we have taken GS our own. We regard him as a sincere member of the Mystical Body of Christ. He has taught some members of our class each of our four years at Calvert. He has always stressed a well-rounded education, and his own qualifications are those of an excellent teacher. At some time almost every day Mr. Diringer can be seen giving advice to a student concerning mathematics, morals, college or some other problems. lf he cannot answer one of our questions he will consult an authority and give us the answer on the same or the next day. Mr. Diringer has shown himself to be a friend by the interest he takes in his students. He is always willing to give up his spare time to help us. Every year he takes a group of seniors to his Alma Mater, the Univ- ersity of Dayton, for a tour of campus and visits to classes. We are grateful to Mr. Diringer for being our personal friend. 3 The Most Reverend George J. Rehring, Bishop of Toledo 4 S.T.D. xiisfi Rev. Edward C. Dunn, M.A., S.T.L Principal 5 RT. REV. MSGR. C1535 fbi sighs .ui T John Grieselding Mrs. Anthony Granata President Secretary Alumni Report This year the Calvert Alumni Association again provided spiritual, cultural, and social activities for its members. The year's spiritual activities began with a High Mass in the Ursuline chapel, oftered for all living and deceased alumni members and their families. The practice of the recitation of the rosary and the offering of a High Mass on the death of a member was continued. Culturally, as in the past, the association has helped support the Cal- vert Library by a contribution to its book fund, supplying books and periodicals. Plans also are being made for a contribution toward a permanent addition to the new library upon its completion. The social program was opened by the annual reunion which was held at Hedges-Boyer Park. Many members attended the picnic and also participated in the various games. In coniunction with reunion day the class of l935 celebrated its Silver Anniversary and its members were later honored at a dinner at the school cafeteria. Because of its growing ranks the Calvert Alumni Association has expanded its social activities by holding a February dance in addition to its annual August dance. The program will end this year with the Silver Anniver- sary ce-lebration of the class of l936, coinciding with a reunion day picnic for the entire membership and their families. The association extends gratitude to its moderator Sister Mary Charlotte, whose faithful guidance has helped accomplish its goals, to Father Dunn, its advisor, whose cooperation has been of the very fullest, and to the members, whose suggestions have always been most welcome.
