Though the students at Calvert are a small part ot Bishop Rehring's tlock, they feel very happy that he honors them with his presence at their Graduation Exercises. They know that a Bishop has many duties and responsibilities and so they greatly appreciate the kind- ness ot their own Bishop in following a precedent begun by Cardinal Stritch. Even though the boys and girls ot Calvert know their Bishop mainly through his letters to his people, they see in these letters a follower of Our Lord- a kind, considerate, ever watchful shepherd, a true lover ot souls. As a shepherd guards his sheep, so Bishop Rehring guards his people. The Calvert students pledge themselves to be true and loyal to their Bishop and sincerely thank him for his spiritual guidance. 4
