I, 1 -ruz JLSIXIA tsnzst the nature of a say'ings accountf Not only is a reserve a safeguard against adversity, but it is also a means of proyiding those extra comforts and pleasures which brighten life and so lidiy family ties No family eyen though they own their own home can be completely at ease and fully enjoy home life if some means IS not proyided to insure its stability in times of depression or misfortune and for the majority of families the sayings account is the most eflicient and practical means Life insurance 1S another great agency in promoting the happiness of the family To mother it means a lessening of worries to father the assurance of the future welfare of his loved ones to brother and sister an education and start in life NVhat sat islaction comes to every member of the family in the knowledge that there is a proyision to insure against the untimely vyrecking of long cher ished plans l:spec1ally IS this true of the mother who can be freed from that terrible anxiety whlch haunts many a mother yvhen she thinks ot the possibility of being separated from her dear ones It IS hard to under stand how a father can be so foolish as to neglect that yy hich IS so great a protection to the family happiness lf planning for and owning a home ean be spoken of as foundation stones of a happy home life surely life in suranee and a sayings aceount must be laoked upon as the mortar binding them together in beautiful symmetry during the calm peaceful days of prosperity and preyenting their dis ruption in the stormy hours of ad- versity. Far be it from us to say that money is a guarantee of happiness, yet yy here a home is started yvithout the readiness to make sacrinees and yyithout the yy illingness to yvait for the extra comforts and luxuries yyh re all thought is giyen to the giddy present and no plan is laid for the future where a too ready use is made of dollar down and dollar then schemes a nnanclal crisis vyill sooner or later be reached And tell me hovy can there be true happiness in a home yvhere the mother knows that they are living up to the last eent yvhere the rent is due in a feyv days and there is no reserve should sickness strike Where the father sadly realizes that installment collectors hay e been constantly taking the money yyhich ought to laave been used for a home or life insurance 'yloney may not be a guarantee of happiness and it certainly is not the only factor contributing to happier family life As a matter of fact a Great amount of it is not necessary but a definite financial policy worked out betyy een husband and yyife which proyides not only for present needs but also for future emergencies af fords a splendid and almost indis pensable basis upon which other con tributing factors might build And yy hether income be large or small such a policy must of necessity con stitute a yyorthyyhile contribution to the ultimate realization of all that is meant by the familiar yy ords Home Syyeet Home be it ever so humble there s no place like home 7 y ' 'elif pf- o- pn 9? -J-A J?
