Brother Daniel James - B.A.-Catholic University - Sub-Director of the Brothers' Community - Mathematics Department - In addition to teaching Modern Geometry, Brother James has established a regis- tered and approved Driver Education Course and functions as Presi- dent of the school chapter of the National Honor Society. This is a noteworthy year for Brother James, in that he is celebrating his Silver Anniversary as a Christian Brother. The attainment of these goals justify the admiration and respect which Brother James receives from faculty and students alike. Brother Alfred Grunenwald - B.A., M.S.-Catholic University - Librar- ian - Brother Alfred maintains one of the most complete high school libraries in the State. Evidence of this is the use of such devices as microfilm readers, tapes, phonographs, and study carrels. Along with Brother James, Brother Alfred is also celebrating his Silver Anniver- sary as a Christian Brother. It is with sincere interest that we con- gratulate Brother on reaching this milestone. Brother Henry Werner - B.A., M.A.-LaSalle College - Religion Depart- ment - Student Activities Coordinator ' The constant activity which characterizes Brother Henery cannot alone show the genuine interest he holds in the students. His many duties as Student Activities Coordi- nator evidence his strong sense of involvement. These, together with Brother Henry's fresh and innovative approach to religion courses, allow us to more fully appreciate his contributions. Mr. Frank Clary - Treasurer - Along with the expansion of Calvert Hall came a proportionate complication of its financial matters. The burden of maintaining the school's financial stability is handled thor- oughly by Mr. Clary. His efficiency is evident in his exacting work as Treasurer and in his position as president of the Alumni Association. Father Edward F. Staub - Chaplain - Working in coniunction with the Religion Department, Father Staub contributes effectively to the reli- gious aspect of the school. His duties of teaching, hearing confessions, and celebrating the liturgy are compounded by his additional obliga- tions to his home parish, St. Mary's, Govans. Brother Brendan Carr - B.A., M.A.-LaSalle College - Language Department - Office Assistant - New to the job of Office Assistant, f T Brother Brendan handles this post efficiently while also being involved with various student activities and committees. His congeniality facili- tates a working contact with the students.

93. , . , Brother Andrew Dinoto - B.A.-LaSalle College, M.A. -Villanova University - Director of Athletics - Cafe- teria Supervisor - Brother Andrew has served as Director of Athletics at Calvert Hall since 1947. His role in generating spirit for school athletics has been unselfishly consistent. ln addition to his role as Ath- Ietic Director, he is responsible for the demanding task of supervising the cafeteria. Brother Andrew's dedicated presence over the years has given him the reputation of the respected fixture of Calvert Hall that he deserves. Brother William Rahner - B.A.-LaSalle College, M.S. -University of Pennsylvania, Ph.D.-Fordham Uni- versity - Director of Guidance - Brother William, as Senior Counselor, provides for the tinal step in stu- dent lite at Calvert Hall. With frequent visits from various college representatives, in addition to activi- ties such as College Night, Brother William provides that guidance and aid which is essential to each stu- dent's final move toward college. Brother Thomas Ryan - B.A.-LaSalle College - Freshman Level Disciplinarian - Religion Department - THE HALL Moderator. Brother Edward Sheehy - B.A.-LaSalle College - Sophomore and Junior Levels Disciplinarian - Social Studies Department - Fine Arts Department - Reli- gion Department - Spirit Club Moderator. Brother William J. Riley - B.A., M.A.-LaSalle College - Senior Level Disciplinarian - Language Depart- ment Chairman tSpanishl - Intramurals Moderator - Alumni Club Moderator. Collectively, the three level disciplinarians deal in an area that carries many unpleasant connotations, but the necessity of their work is recognized as an inte- gral component in the function of Calvert Hall. Aside from their work in maintaining the desk, all of the disciplinarians are involved in other, more appealing activities.
