The old classrooms are used for small group discussion. Modular scheduling divides The day inTo 26 modules of 15 minuTes each. Each day is organized inTo various com- binations of These modules according To The diTferenT learning environmenTs. ln his second year aT Calvert Hall, Father Edward F. Staub continues hearing confessions and saying Mass in The student chapel. ln coniuncTion with The Religion DeparTmenT, Father employs The current Trends in The new liturgy. His open mind and open door have brought him into close conTacT with The students. Father also fulfills parish duTies at Saint Thomas More. For The last sixteen years Brother Andrew has been DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS. His presence aT The school's aThleTic evenTs is as predicTable as The game ball, buT few realize The counTless, and ofTen thankless, hours of behind-The-scenes work he does. BroTher Andrew has To care for scheduling, upkeep of equip- ment and uniforms, and field maintenance. Brother also serves The MSA as its vice-president.

During his two years at Calvert Hall, Brother Eugene has had the distinction ot being Dean of Discipline. Through his rigid disciplinary guidelines and enforcement, along with his interest and guidance toward students, Brother Eugene has gained the well deserved respect of the student body. Brother is also a mem- ber ot both the Academic and National Honor Society Committees. education is to explore In accordance with his position as Sub-Director of the Brother's Community, Brother James assumes the responsibility of Director in the absence of Brother Stephen. He also conducts classes in Modern Geometry and is Moderator of the School's Driver Education Course. In his long stay at Calvert Hall, Brother has won the admiration and respect of both faculty and students.

. . . to achieve a goal comprehensive DIRECTOR OF STUDENT ACTIVITIES, Brother Kevin Stanton serves as a kind of social guid- ance counselor. Working directly with the Student Council, Brother provides for a well organized program of social activities. The success of this year's dances can be attributed to his capable guidance. Guidance is a basic element in man's striving for knowledge. As its objective, guidance both molds and directs the individual to success. It attempts not to induce conformity but to give a keener perception of one's role in the iourney he is about to undertake. Activities compliment guidance in that they broaden the student's perspective through peer group association. To be a complete social as well as intellectual being, one must loin with fellow students in a program of organized social events. Brother William Rahner, DIRECTOR OF GUID- ANCE and Senior Counselor, aids seniors in college admission and directs them to the college best fitted to their needs. Brother makes available many tests so that seniors may better understand their aptitudes. Again this year, Brother William held College Night during which seniors could meet with repre- sentatives of over 30 invited colleges.
