Brother John Charles Moore, in his sixth year at Calvert Hall, presently holds the oftice of Assistant Principal. In this capacity, Brother is responsible for maintenance ofthe School and the Faculty House. Brother formerly taught Senior English and served as Chairman of the English Department. During his two years as Assistant Principal, Brother John Moore has been instru- mental in improving the academic standard of Calvert Hall by strengthening the requirements of present courses and initiating new and challenging curricula. As Sub-Director of the Brother's Community, Brother Daniel James assists Brother Stephen in his administrative duties. Brother also presides over The body in the absence of the Director. Other than his administrative duties, Brother teaches modern geometry and advanced math to sophomores and co-ordinates the Driver Education Course. BROTHER STEPHEN PLEVA, F.S.C., M.A. PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATICJN Assuming the duties as Principal of Calvert Hall, Brother Stephen Pleva replaced Brother Elrick Paul who, after serving as Director for four years, was appointed Provincial of the Brothers' Schools in the Baltimore District. Brother Stephen attended the Catholic University of America and 'graduated in 1947 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He continued his graduate studies at the University of Maryland, earning his M.S. in Chemistry. Since taking his final vows as a Brother of the Christian Schools, Brother has served at West Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Saint Joseph's High School of New York and as Principal of LaSalle High School of Ammendale, Maryland. In his brief tenure at CHC, Brother's congeniality and friendship have already endeared him in the minds and hearts of all Hall students.

Father Staub replaced Father Rowan, who was called upon to offer full-time assistance to his parish. Reverend Stalb, who carries on his pastoral duties at Saint Thomas More Parish, offers Mass bi-weekly in the student chapel. In cooperation with the religion department, Father also headed the underclass retreat in February. Close contact with the students was achieved through talks given to each department. And Father maintained a close relationship with the individual student through hearing confessions and holding private interviews. GUIDANCE
