The M Division of the CALVERT is made up of the H ball bearing sailors -Qmachinist's matesj. These men stand watches in the engine room and maintain the main engines. The ability ot these men is proven by the tact that the ship gets everywhere that it is going and gets there on time. These men can be easily identified by the engine room pallor, and their intense dislike of daylight, they are at their best at night, on the beach, of course. The N Division are the quartermasters that make up the Navigation Department. They are charged with the upkeep ot all naviga- tional equipment and navigation spaces. They keep the navigational charts, publications, right lists, ship's logs fthat later make up a Ship's Historyj up to date at all times, which in turn helps to carry out the ships assigned mission, or to her destination, whether it may be to cross the wide Pacific, enter or leave port, navigate a narrow channel, or whatever is necessary to keep the ship on a true course and sate from running aground. These men are always there and on the job around the clock to be sure the ship is in sate waters.
