Elementary Girls Girls . . . well, you did it. You won first place in our league by winning all eight of your games. You have had your serious moments, you have had your silly moments, you have had your frustrating moments, and you have had your moments ofglorjy, But above all, you have been a team work- ing hard together. I pray that it was your desire to be pleas- ing to the Lord. I know it was mine. For it would all have been a waste of time if it had not been pleasing to Him. Elementary Boys In ri season in which our high school guys wenr undefeated, in which our high school girls had their best season ever, and in which both jr. high teams had excellent records, this lirrle known group of guys had their own winning season. They are, from left ru right: Scott Maywald, Marc Gonzales, Rudy Maninez, Max McDaniel, Matt Shockley, Micheal Metcalf, Tommy Maddox, Chris Parker, Ray Hensle-e,jon David Carrier, Brian Cruz,jason Hester, Danny Ramos, Aaron Anthony. These guys are to be recommended for mgerly receiving everything rhar I had ro teach them about basketball, as little as that is. I regrer nor having more ro reach them, or nor adequately reaching them what I did know, because there is so much potential in these fellows that l feel like I may have kept them from developing as much as they could have. I suggest that you :ill keep an eye on these young meng you'lI be seeing some of them making big achievements, both on and off the court. Guys, I challenge you to watch yourselves, and nor to forget what we're trying ro reach you here at Calvary: it's in jerur that we live and have our being and without Him we can do nothing, ifyou rum our back on Him, you'lI be turning your back on life and on your potential.
