Before anyone can bein the air corps, he must have had two semesters of either engines, airplane construction, or navigation. Members of the Calumet R.O.T.C. are trained to take their places as the country's leaders-both civil and military. This year, more than ever before in almost a quarter of a century, we realize the importance of this high school unit of the United States Army. The R.O.T.C. furnishes the school with color and romance. Carrying Old Glory and leading the salute to the Flag and the oath of allegiance are but a few of the duties of the R.O.T.C. whose guards lend dignity to balls and dances. A dinner-dance. given by the oflicers each semester, is a high point in the Calumet social season. Our very able military advisor, Sergeant Sever and Cadet Lieutenant-Colonel Richard Ozinga select a platoon from the 275 uniformed cadets of the Calumet Unit. This platoon enters the city-wide competition. Calumet always hopes for an award. R. O. T. C. OFIIICLERS BAFK ROVV: Ziinmcrs, Sedlack, Rc:-sc-. Nazer. VVolter Konrath, ,Ianflacc-k.
