No, they aren't dizzy, it's only the Senior Girls' Council in their traditional costumes of powder blue skirts and White sweaters. What are the activities of the Senior Girls' Council? asks the inquiring reporter of prexy Vera Chance. A'To raise money, is the answer. Profits from the Spring Frolic, for example, will be used to entertain the mothers of Seniors at a series of Mothers' Teas . . . This year we hope to have sufficient funds to purchase a new set of dishes, Vera adds, while a proud little smile brings a dimple into her left cheek. Who is in charge of these events? queries the reporter. Jean O'Shaughnessy is Dance Chairman and Carolee Kump- fer is in charge of the Spring Teas. Other oflicers are Evelyn Fahrner, vice-president: Shirley Liston, secretary: and Maralyn Seils, treasurer, . ls any senior girl eligible for membership? is the next question. Indeed not, exclaims Vera. Besides having a 'G' average and a perfect citizenship record, recommendations from at least ten teachers are necessary. So you see, the Senior Girls' Council is a much coveted goal. Page 2 7
