This student body promotes socials and assemblies Where stu- dents may become acquainted with each other. It also aims to develop understanding between student and teacher. Most im- portant of all it gives to the students the opportunity to express their ideas in regard to the government of the school. It has patterned its constitution after the Constitution of the United States. lts officers are selected with almost as great care as are our national leaders. Only superior students are inf trusted with this important service and governmental responsi- bility. lt is an honor indeed to belong to the A. C' C. L. iuic eague if if 'A' A typical A. C. C. L. meeting is now in progress. Two sharp raps of the gavel, and a hush settles down over the room as the president calls the meeting to order. The roll is called. the secretary reads the minutes . . . the delegates vote approval. The Rooters Club Committee reports that members are required to attend all football and basketball games . . . Representa- tives from the Red Cross Committee urge session delegates to collect contributions toward this year's goal of one thousand dollars. Plans for an afternoon social in the Boys' Gym are discussed. At the vice-president's suggestion. it is moved and seconded that a social be held in the near future and that admission be only by presentation of an A. C. C. L. membership card. After much discussion, the motion is carried. The president asks for corrections or additions: the minutes are approved and ordered filed. Having explained to new members that each person in the A. C. C. L. is required to serve upon some committee, he next calls for committee reports. The chairman of the assembly committee announces that a Variety Show will be given at a morning and an afternoon assembly, and requests all representatives to urge the students of their sessions to buy tickets.
