SARA AROIETBERG Edit orein-K liicf THE TEMULAC-THE TIE THAT IBINDS The l939 Temulac staff has attempted to give you an annual de- lightful to look at and pleasant to read. A variety of interests make up high school life. All these interests meet in this book where you will see a review of the social and athletic, as Well as the academic side of school life. As a medium of intercourse between present, former, and future students, and as an organ represent- ing every department and organization, within the school it stands as a link in the chain of memories you take with you when you leave school, and as a tie to bind you to your Alma Mater. With the ancient and honorable deadline rolling down upon, the Temulac ofhce, feverish activity prevails. Editor-in-chief Sara Aron- berg rushes hither and thither making a final check-up before the dummy is packed for shipment to the printer, while Mrs. Musgrave stands by to re-check. Business manager Irving Wolf, assisted by Ed Pahrner and Don Johnson, puts on the pressure to get pecuniary matters in A-l shape, while on the sidelines are teachers Joseph Dickman and Royce Kinnick. ready to give frequent and necessary advice. Associate editors Constantine Kontos. James Cunningham, Richard Krug, and Norman Lindahl, under the literary guidance of Mrs. Frances R. Donovan, sigh with relief as the articles for the last pages take form. and secretaries Nathalie Rosen and Eleanor Carlson make the copy ready for the printing press. ln. the pasting, cutting, and senior-activities departments are Harriet Carlson, Gloria Bloomquist, Dorothy Duncan, Rosella Kephart, and Dot Campbell to see that the results of the labor shape up to specifications and that each picture is where it belongs. Photographers Harold Weiss and Herbert Schiff snap last minute photos: there must be no blank spaces when the dummy reaches its destination. Meantime the student body waits with breathless expectancy the release of Calumet's most fascinating year book-The Temulac 1939. Literary 'Department Advisory Department Senior Sectiun fl 8
