MAKE IT LAST FOREVER Turnabout is the traditional Christmas dance. It has been held annually since 1969. This year’s turnabout was sponsored by the band boosters. Many students enjoyed dancing to music provided by an area DJ. The theme for turnabout, “Make It Last Forever,” was ap- propriate as many students did not want to leave. The traditional dance is the girl ' s opportunity to ask the boy to the dance, thus the name “Turnabout.” a. Karen Harper enjoys her dance with John Wood. Shannon Hurley dances with her date during a slow song. Isabel Vibanco and her date take a breather between dances. 20 TURNABOUT

CHORUS SINGS OUT LOUD The 1989 Spring Choral con- cert was a huge success. It in- cluded six solos, one each by Dawn DeLaCruz, Kellie Hos- kins, Marsha Witham, Michelle Freguson, Michelle Kuscera, and Tracy Raub. Also included was a duet by Dawn DeLaCruz and Tammy Meulmans. An in- teresting touch to the night was a performance by Michelle Kus- cera, Claudette Neri, and Tracy Painter; they sang “Poor Man Lazerus” in acapella. a. Choir members perform one of their songs for their audience, b. Tracy Raub performs her solo “When Whoevers in New England.” c. Reatha Williams sings her solo for the audience. 22 CHOIR
