A DAY AT WRIGLEY FIELD Ms. Payne decided this would be a good year to take her fifth and sixth hour classes to a Cubs base- ball game; so, on April 26, 1989 she did just that. The classes were comprised of mainly freshmen and seniors. Ms. Payne also invited Ms. Green’s yearbook staff to go along. In all, fifty people from CHS atteded the Cubs game. Everyone was excited to see the Cubs battle the world champion Dodgers. The Dogers won the game 4-3, but the trip was well worth it. Signs were made and displayed for the television cameras during the seventh innning stretch: GO CUBS! Karen Wheatly displays her excitement about being at the game. Kim Kasarda tells a classmate about the ball Andre Dawson threw to her that a stranger stole, as her friends listen to another account of the story. 16 FIELD TRIP
