Montgomery All-State Numbers along with inexperience are the two main factors for the foot- ball teams record of 2-7 The coaching staff was very dis- appointed with the team’s final re- cord. Since Calumet was reclassified to a lower class, regardless how tough their conference schedule was or what their regular season record was, the coaches truly thought that no team in our sectional was that tough and that we should have won sectional competition. Calumet’s team record was not impressive, but we did have some oustanding individual performances. This helped tremendously to relieve the pain for their failure as a team. a: Calumet Warriors Varsity Football team: Back row: Coach Nick Voris, Coach Agerter, Coach Sivilich, David Oswalt, Troy Johnson, Bill Priller, Harley Tigner, Coach Dennis Bunda, Coach Jim Wadkins, Coach Woody Feeler. Rough Tough Volleyball Stuff 0 8 0 1 The girls’ volleyball team began the season with only three returning lettermen, but managed to pull off a very impressive season. The girls worked hard all season to maintain the team spirit. The team ended the season at 8- 16, but shows much promise for the future. The team will miss it’s three seniors, Michelle Widelski, Michelle Kasarda, and Barb Haynes, but will build on its seven returning team members. a: Girl’s JV Volleyball team; row 1: Tyra Rosborogh, Jennifer Page, Judy Kabina, Precious Vargas row 2; Joy Nelson, Debbie Anderson, Katie Coomer, Tommie Taylor, Coach Sherri Green, b: Senior Michelle Widelski with an intimidating serve, c: Freshman Precious Vargas sets the ball up for a kill.
