Christmas Pageants Held Capturing the spirit of the holidays, the Band, Chorus and Drama Departments enhanced the holiday spirit by presenting concerts. Chorus and Drama Depart- ments joined together to perform the Christmas story for students and the community in two separate performances on December 15th. As the story was depicted on stage, the Chorus sang carols representing each scene. The Chorus was directed by Mr. Robert Velasco and the Drama Department by Mr. Paul Borlick. CHS Band members enlivened the holidays spirits with a con- cert on December 12th. Under the direction of Mrs. Belinda Potoma, the group played a varie- ty of Christmas music. The per- formance was given in the even- ing at the CHS auditorium. d. Joseph and Mary look over baby Jesus at the 1986 Christmas Concert. e. The chorus performs for the 1986 Christmas Concert. f. Teacher Of The Year Mrs. Joyce Weakland, Home Economics and Family Living teacher, was chosen as 1987 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Weakland sponsors the Sophomore Class and the C-Teens.
