Jones, Hughes Reign Royal Calumet area residents were dazzled by flower covered floats rolling through the streets during the Homecoming pre-game activities on September 30. The winners of the float con- test were the Lettergirls who were awarded $40. As the 4,000 roaring spec- tators cheered, the Warriors squeezed by Griffith, 7-6, at the annual Homecoming game. When halftime began, the noise of the crowd turned in- to a hush of suspense as they awaited the anouncer’s ver- dict. Groups make holiday music CHS’ auditorium came alive on December 13 when the school Band, Chorus and Warriorettes presented the Band Christmas Concert. Band members played traditional Christmas Carols, as the chorus sang selected specialities.
