Looking for the solutions Calumet’s Mathematics and Science Departments offered a great variety of courses to students. If you enjoyed figuring out mind boggling problems, CHS offered courses in everything from general mathematics to trigonometry. If you preferred the study of the universe, chemicals or life, you could have enrolled in classes in every area from general science to physics. During the school year John Brady, senior, was selected by the Guidance Department and a panel of faculty members to receive the Bausch and Lomb Science Award. John was presented with a bronze medal to commemorate his achievement. A: Freshmen students study Occupational Algebra I in Mrs. Judy Hott ' s sixth period class. B: Mr. Charles Cole’s Biology I class studies in preparation for an upcoming laboratory dissec- tion of fetal pigs. C: Freshmen James Nelson and George Dieguez complete an assignment in Biology I. D: Class members work on a daily assignment in Mr. Charles Cole ' s sixth hour Biology I class. E: )ohn Brady, senior, reviews college literature in the guidance office.
