Preparations for the ‘‘big event” included staying after school, getting out of class and the hustle and bustle of last minute arrangement. However, the most fun of all took place when the doors opened for admission, the curtains rose, and the band began to play. This year, CHS students participated in a new event, the election of a “Mr. Foot- ball” was selected from four gridiron finalists, who also acted as homecoming Queen escorts during the halftime festivities. The wide range of activi- ties carried on throughout the school year provided ample opportunity for CHSers to find that special place for ‘‘Fitting in.” S s •X 4 Activities Division

Warriors win annual classic Graduates and students gathered at Homecoming to celebrate the Warrior’s third win of the season. The CHS squad beat River Forest, 26- 0, on Friday, September 25. Halftime was celebrated by the crowning of Michele Kacher, senior, as the 1981 Homecoming Queen. Curtis Forrester, senior, was selected Mr. Football. Michele received fifteen assorted red and white roses and a trophy. Curtis also received a trophy. Members of the Queen’s court were presented with flowers, and those in Mr. Football’s court received boutonnieres.
