Puff, Revue accent week Pep Sessions, Homecom- ing Revue and Powder Puff brought excitement to the annual Spirit Week celebra- tion on September 15 to 19. The 1950’s were the rage on Monday, as CHSers dressed in attire of the period. Cowboys and Indi- ans invaded Calumet on Tuesday, and on Thursday students dressed as their favorite punk rocker. Red and White were the colors students chose for Friday. The Junior-Freshman Team won the annual pow- der puff game against the Sophmore-Senior Squad by a score of 16-14. Mr. Paul Borlick, faculty member, attempted to raise student morale with his tra- ditional speech at the pep session on Friday. T auber wins court title Graduates and students gathered at Homecoming to celebrate the Warriors’ first win of the season. The CHS squad beat Gary Emerson, 20-14, on Friday, September 19. Halftime was celebrated by the crowning of Kim Tau- ber, senior, as the 1980 Homecoming Queen. Kim was a member of Student Council and Pep Club. The annual parade was held prior to the game. Dec- orated cars and floats gath- ered at the school at 4:30 p.m. “Warriors on the War Path,” the senior entry, was the winning float. Second place honors were given to OEA for their theme, “File it under Victory.” And third place the Cheerleaders for “Blow’Em Away.” Top Three Across: Members of the 1980 court are seniors Myra Benjamin, Angie White and Debbie Wheelen.
