CHS ' ers rock Dance, cheer What is an assembly? A chance to get out of class? A time to be with a friend? The time to hear the familiar expression, “Twenty-five cents? Sure, I’ll buy a ticket, anything to get out of English class!” However, most assemblies provided information as well as entertainment. During the year assemblies were held to cele- brate sports events during foot- ball, basketball, wrestling and volleyball seasons. Other assem- blies included Folk dancers. Tip Off game, In and Out basketball game. Introduction of Homecom- ing Queen candidates and the Navy Rock Band to name a few. 20
