Frogs — Pride of Science Department As the importance of science is stressed more and more in prep- aration for college and many careers, this department at Calumet has grown in importance. After a year of practicing the sci- entific method on individual ex- periments and projects, the stu- dents have gained an insight and a deep understanding of the com- position of living matter . This enables them to increase their knowledge of the world around them . These courses offer t he students an opportunity to think for him- self and learn about the scientific wonders of the universe. The course in physics provides lab periods for experimentation. The mysteries of dissecting a frog are being ex- plored by Mr. Cole ' s biology students. Dennis Blink dissects while Belinda Yeager, Alice Cline and Ann Beurgler acquire the answers to their questions. Behind them is a chart showing the stages of development of the frog.
