Ch 'ti As almost every family has a family album, the senior class firmly believes all stu dents should have a yearbook too, and thus we have published one this year. In future years you will show your children, and perhaps your grand-children, yournCahawk' and see all the written and pictorial records of your classmates and scholastic events. They will no doubt be interested in the yearbook's unusual title 'Cahawk'. This name was derived from two sources, namely: 'Ca' from Calmar, and 'Hawk' from the Hawkeye state The staff consists of seniors elected by the class. They are aided by the remainder of the class and the teachers especially Miss Zeiger, who is taking charge of the C hawks production. Seated above are the two committees elected by the class to manage the edition of the 'Cahawk'. They consist of the Business Manager's Committee which includes: R. Martin, F Frlsble, E. Brom and L. Kovarlkgand the Ed1tor's Committee which includes: D. Flaskerud, C. Hosper, R. Blly, G. Schissel, G. Stenseth, and L. Stromsodt I IEIHHHNHD 'ITIHHE SCIENIES The students pictured below have made up the staff of the school paper, 'Behind the Scenes,' for this school year. The staff has endeavored to produce a bigger and better paper by adding special features and novel ideas in each additional publication for the enjoyment of their readers. We sincerely hope our school will always be able to have a school paper, as it is an important link between teacher and student, home and school The paper is put out by the efforts of not only the staff, but by students who have taken typing and have been trained to try to type the news without too many typographi cal errors. The editor wishes to thank all who have in any way contributed toward the paper by typing, writing class news, athletics, and other miscellaneous art1cles.As Fri day is the official day the paper comes off the school press, there 1sn't much studying done until all news items, especially the gossip, have been thoroughly read. One of the last papers of the year was edited by the Junior class to gain experience as they will be the producing factor next school term, and to relieve the burden of editing from the seniors. The 'Behind the Scenes' staff sincerely hopes everyone will always be as 1n- terested and willing to help in the future as they have been in the past to promote the paper. Standing: Kiel, R.
