caught in the middle As an innocent crab, the year crept along slowly until the end when all attention focused on becoming a junior. With great expectation, the promoted sophomores entered the doors of Callaway assured of an improved status. However the juniors soon disco- vered that the second year of high school was not an orchard of oranges. Although juniors carried some influence over the sopho- mores, seniors still dominated school activities. At least as crabs some amount of attention drifted down to nourish the green fruit. Juniors, however, caught between sophomores and seniors, exper- ienced a sandwiched feeling. Ne- vertheless, the junior class sur- vived, consoled by the hope that next year as seniors they would re- ceive the respect and power due them. All booked up. Hunter Moore studies in the library.
