SCIENCE A government grant . of five hundred dollars was awarded to the Calla- way science department this year to help finance a botanical garden in which biology students could view concepts they had learned in the classroom. Chemistry and physics students also saw the abstract ideas they had learned in books become reality during experiments in one of the three fully equipped labs. The introduction of a new course to the science department, Health, gave Callaway students the opportunity to study this field for the first time.
