The firsf oufsfanding evenf on fheir calendar was fhe week of Freshmen lnifiafion, followed by fhe dance given by fhe sophomores fo welcome fhe poor, bewildered frosh . Then came fhe Freshmen Refurn fhanlzing fhe sophomores for helping fl-lem become acquainfed wil-h fhe ways of high school life. In fhe following fwo years fhe class advanced fhrough fhe fifles of Sophomores and Juniors. In fhose fwo years fhe high school band, wifh members of fhe class of 5b in if, sfarfed fheir presenf climb fo fame under fhe leadership of Mr. Czzie lngraham. The foofball feam foughf fheir way 'ro VICTORY and a league champion- ship in fhe school year of 54-55 under fhe leadership of Coach Wood. Many of fhe firsf sfring members were of fhe class of 56 . One of fhese players, Bo Bo lchfers, made All-League Foofball all four years of his high school career, second sfring in his freshman year and firsf sfring fhe remaining fhree years. Several ofher members affained posifions on fhe All-League Foofball feam for eifher one or 'Iwo years. This same year saw fhe B Baslzefball feam wifh a championship. The iunior year was nof only oufsfanding because of fhe boys, buf several girls fook fop honors on fheir road fo success. Marilyn Molinari won an essay confesf sponsored by fhe SENIOR CLASS- FALL OFFICERS Legion Auxiliary and received a medal for oufsfandng workmanship.
