She will always be remembered by the Class of '56 as being one ofthe most fair and fun-loving teachers with whom they ever have been associated. In the nine years that she has been the head of the Home Economics Department, she has contributed more than her share to the education of the high school students and to the improvements of CHS. Whenever a skit was to be put on, or a dance or party to be decorated, the first person to be consulted was Mrs. Enderlin. She is more than a fundamental cog in our school's success, she is a beloved friend to each and every boy and girl who has ever come in association with her at CHS. She is not thought of as iust a teacher, but as a ood friend and counselor to all. She has helped with problems having nothing to do 9 with her field of teaching. She has encouraged some of us to go on in our schooling and be a success in the world. As the members of the Class of '56 look back over their four Heeting years at Calistoga High School, they will vividly recall the many happy moments they have had in association with Mrs. Enderlin. So it is with great pride and happiness that this year book is dedicated to one of the nicest people we shall ever know, Mrs. Lucille Enderlin. 4 'Q S L 1 5 I 5 W isa. ki. ...Qsw sniff R QW Q F Q af . The power to think is one of our valuable assets. As you go through life, bear in mind that no matter what you think, you will always find plenty of people who will not agree with your thoughts. This is to be expected. Do not let it discourage you. Thinking is a specific, not a machine-like, ready-made apparatus to be turned indifferently and at will upon all subiects. It is specific in that different things suggest their own appropriate meanings, tell their own unique stories, and in that they do this in very different ways with different persons. In addition, every decision we are called upon to make in this life requires thinking in two directions: lirst, thinking about the positives, and second, thinking about the negatives. There are both advantages and disadvantages connected with every problem we are called upon to decide or solve. lt becomes a case of weighing the advantages against the disadvantages and then deciding which will be the most favorable for us in the end. lt is my deepest hope that all of you of the Class of '56 will use this power to think for yourselves and that all your decisions will be wise ones. Not only your future earning power, but your happiness and the happiness of others is dependent upon your thinking. Congratulations upon completion of the four years of your high school training. The knowledge you have gained combined with good clear thinking should see you through the years to come. Sincerely, .31 William F. Jameson, Principal.
