OU R COMMUNITY IS . .. a growing and important California Western University surrounded by pleas- ant palmlined streets in a scenic wooded area overlooking the Pacific. the thrilling bay view from Talbot street. the Red Sails, one of the numerous hang- outs where students can momentarily escape the academic atmosphere of the campus. the local village post office to which students rush to send their mail and packages. the Delta, only a couple blocks from campus, where students find food, hair- cuts, toiletries, and school supplies. the local drive-in crowded by students nightly for a quick snack and provide a break from the monotony ot study. Shelter lsland's lush Polynesian Bali Hai restaurant which stands out among the small boat yards ancl yacht clubs.
