The final signing of the Israeli-Egyptian Peace Treaty and the rescue of Vietnamese Boat People improved the U.S.,’s efforts at bettering world conditions, while the return of gas lines and double digit inflation hurt the economy. Meanwhile, technology was giving many people con- cern with the Three Mile Island disaster, the falling of Skylab, and the grounding ing of DC-10's.
