l would like to think of this past year as a preview of things to come in the future of Sacramento State. Our college is steadily gaining stature as an institution of which we all can be proud. We all arelooking forward to the day when Sacramento State will be viewed as having the best of athletic teams, the largest of social activities and the finest educational program to be found anywhere. A Utopia of this sort cannot merely be thought about. If we want it, it has to be worked for. I think that all of us have carried ourselves in this manner this past year. l would like to thank you all indi- vidually for the splendid cooperation and support you have given me. STATE PRESIDENT CF C.S.T.A Barbara Hansen, a junior at Sacramento State College, is the president of the California Student Teacher Association for 1955- 56. California Student Teacher Association is the oldest organiza- tion of its kind in the United States and is in its nineteenth year in California. Miss Hansen, studying elementary education here at Sacra- mento State, hopes to become an elementary teacher. Miss Hansen has done considerable traveling in line with her duties, going to Los Angeles, to Chico, and north to Humlaolt Coun- ty. She attended the National TEPS Conference in Chicago last summer, held in connection with the National Education Associa- tion convention.
