The Biological Association of the Sacramento State College The Biological Associaton of the Sacramento State College, or better known to the students as B. A. S. S., is one of the oldest clubs on the campus. It was organized in January, 1949, by several of the State students majoring in Biological Science. Membership is open to students of both colleges, who have taken at least one three unit biology course. The objectives of the club are both academic as well as social. The first objective is to protect the flora and fauna of our country. The second objective is to pro- mote the knowledge and understanding of Biological Sciences. The Green and Gold Varsity Club was organized as an on- campus organization during the fall semester of 1949. It is an honorary society open to all male students at the Sac- ramento State College who have lettered in one or more intercollegiate sport activities.

On- The- Job Directed Teaching On-the-job directed teaching is provided by the Sacramento State College as a service to teachers and school systems in the immediate area. It is available only to teachers holding emergency or provisional credentials and who are employed as full-time teachers.
