COMMISSIONS may well be termed the administrative branch of the Associated Students, for it is through them that most of the events on the A.S. calendar come to life. Commissions usually op- erate the year around within a broad area of campus life—the social affairs commission, for ex- ample. Commissions are headed by commissioners who are ap- pointed by the executive branch of the student government. These appointees in turn choose their own personnel.
