At the right are pic- tured the spring presidents of the two outstanding honorary service groups at Chico State College, the Blue Key and Cardinal Key. Leona May Baker of ' 'C P f 3 .i' uigyg ' the Cardinal Key appears at the upper left, while John Moiso, Blue Key leader, is at the lower right. Both of these students are active in Student Body affairs, as well as handling the duties of leadership in an honorary group. Honorary organizations have been active this year on the Chico State campus, with several conventions being held here during the past year, Tri-Epsilon, home economics group, and Alpha Psi Omega, national honorary dramatics fraternity, were among those sponsoring conventions. Other groups who have been especially active on the campus during the past year are: Epsilon Pi Tau, industrial arts: Alpha Mu Gamma, foreign languages: Kappa Delta Pi, educational: and Pi Epsilon Sigma, pre-engineering. Previously, honorary groups have not done much in Iields other than their own, but since the Blue Key and Cardinal Key have taken over the leadership there is a finer bond between all the campus organizations.

ARAC I-I IXI EANS Founded at Chico State College in 1932 Purpose: To bring about more interest in the Held of art at Chico State, and to main- tain a closer relation between those students having the same interests. CALENDAR OF EVENTS March: Dinner meeting for prospective members. Dinner meeting and initia- tion. April 14, 15, 16: Trip to San Francisco and World's Fair to see art exhibits and visit art schools. May 13: Trip to art center in Sacramento. OUTSTANDING EVENT The major event on the Arachneans' calendar this year Was a three-day field trip to San Francisco and the World's Fair. Mrs. Mavis Todd Brown, advisor, accom- panied the group. She was able to explain about many of the points of interest to the group. One day was spent at the Fair. A good part of this day was spent in the Building of Fine Arts. Other points were also given attention by individual members of the organization. Included were visits to the art galleries of San Francisco and the leading art schools in the bay region.
