BLDCK Founded at Chico State College in 1923 Purpose: The society is an honorary ath- letic organization, being made up of ath- letes who have been awarded a Block C at Chico State. Basketball pledges taken in. May l2: Block C dance at Club House. OUTSTANDING EVENT The most outstanding event on the Block C calendar was the Faculty-Block C banquet, held at Bidwell Hall on May ll. The purpose of this banquet was to ac- quaint the men on the faculty with the Block C organization and its functions. It gave the faculty men an opportunity to meet Chico State's athletes off the play- ing field. CLUB LIFE LAURA PEDROTTI President Mutsuhito Fall AL SCI-ILUETER Block C Man DON BARNES President El Club Espanol Q Prominent members of three campus groups which are representative of the varied interests of the stu- dents have been chosen for a place in the Club Life of the Chico State College. . Top center is Laura Ped- A A rotti, prominent Mutsuhito and president of that organization during the fall semester. Mutsuhito is an organization of Women for the promotion of spirit and cooperative eiTorts among the organized Women students of the college. It is a social group. At the lower left is Al Schlueter, member of the Block C society and all-conference basketball player. He is also a member of Blue Key, Iota Sigma, and Kappa Delta Pi. On his right is Don Barnes, president of El Club Espanol in the spring semester. Don is also a member of Blue Key, Alpha Mu Ga-mma, and the Y. M. C. A. Club events were numerous on the Chico State campus during the past year. Mutsuhito led the field with many inter-sorority dances and get-togethers, while closely following Were the Industrial Arts Club, Y. M. C. A., Commerce Club and Block C Society.
