Alpha Chi OUTSTANDING EVENT Pan Hellenic formal was the outstand- ing event on the social calendar. lt was held April l at Richardson Springs. Since the theme this year was the San Francisco Exposition, decorations were a miniature tower of the sun and garden plots of col- orful spring flowers. Committee heads for the dance were: Maxine Heard, invitations: Dorothy K, Anderson, programs: Loraine Bass, dec- orations. Although few formal dances have the natural spirit that usually attends college dances, the Pan Hellenic formal this year showed that a more dignihed affair than most collegiate events can still be enjoyable. More than 50 couples took part in the dance.

ALUMNI EVENTS In addition to their many fraternity events the Iota Sigmas, during the past year, gave two enjoyable affairs in honor of the alumni who have taken to wider fields of activity. The Home-Coming luncheon held in the industrial arts build- ing was an enjoyable get-together, with about thirty of the Iota Sigma grads return- ing to the fold. The pre-Pioneer dance at the Country Club was given especially for alumni, and many returned for this event.
