soclat ART W'l-IITMER President Iota Sigma BEN REAMS President Delta Psi Delta Q The social side of life at Chico State really blos- somed out during the past year. Leaders, perhaps, of this movement were the two campus fraternities, the Iota Sigma and the I - Delta Psi Delta. Presidents of the two organizations for the spring semester are pictured above. At the left is Art Whitmer, Iota Sigma, and on the lower right is Ben Reams, Delta Psi Delta. These two men have been foremost in many new and varied activities while at Chico State. Both are prominent athletes and members of Blue Key, national honorary service club. Activities in the social whirl were numerous during the school year. One of the most important events was the Pan Hellenic dance at Richardson Springs. All campus groups cooperated to make this dance a success. Other more restricted activities were sponsored by the Alpha Chi, Pi Kappa Sigma, Delta Sigma Epsilon, Theta Sigma Upsilon, Delta Psi Delta, and Iota Sigma. Plans to join a national social fraternity were tentatively worked up by students during the year, and it is likely that a Chico State chapter will be added in a year or two.
