THE STUDENT BODY One of the many student organwatxons of our school IS the Student Body The members are boys and girls from the elghth through the twelfth grade The students themselves have the prnllege of managing thxs group Officers are elected yearly at the beginning of the school term The officers are as follows Patrlcla Kltchen Pzeszdent Frank Luna Vzce Pfeszdeut Wanda Long' Secietruy Beverly Wilson G1rIs Tzeasuvea Dean Swalm Boys Treaszueo They are axded by the helpful advice and guidance of two advisers Mr and Mrs V S Blrclc, respectively Dean of boys and Dean of girls who are present at all Student Body meetmgs Dances are sponsored bv the Student Body clurlng the school year ln the Primary Audltorlum These dances are ln charge of student committees chosen by Principal Leenhouts These affaxrs help us ln developlng leader ship and cultivating a wholesome soclal life Teachers act as chaperones at the dances The purpose of the Student Body lS mainly to help ln conducting our numerous student affairs It has helped a great deal ln the last few years and we hope that our successors wxll lmprove the organization and help the school even more ln the years to come Every year the Student Body holds a roller slcatmg outmg at Roller land m Oakland Thls gay event takes place m the sprung Much fun IS always had by all The Student Body Creed So nlgh IS grandeur to our ust So near IS God to men When duty whxspers low Thou Must The youth replies I Can ' l . 7. . . . , , . .
