It was RENEW THE LU day. That is exa ctly what was done. Groups of student faculty, and volunteers were gathered together, each with a specific goal in mind. Kramer painted Regents, Kramer Court and fixed up the pool area. McAfee built the SUB patio and cleaned up around the SUB. Mt. Clef painted the boiler room and renovated the fountain. Pederson helped with the new park and re- novation of the pool area. Cleaning Kingsmen Park and painting the bridge was Thompson ' s task. The commuters and houses prepared the walkway behind the cafe. All ' n all the work day was a success. Rewarding not only in the renewed appearance of C.L.C. and renewed pride but the workers received quite a feast for their efforts. There were juicy steaks, corn-on-the-cob. and ice-cream! The sounds of Orion were heard as workers relaxed at Westend. Those still aching for some more excitement boarded buses for the Forum to watch the hockey battle between L.A. and Toronto. Riches of His Grace, composed of CLC students Alan Rose, Mark Rear- don, Bruce Stevenson, Jim Rower and Jay Ford performed many of the original songs written by Bruce Stevenson. Their sounds were mel- low with a touch of rock. Holly Near ' s concert was quite a hit too. Through her music she reminded the audience of the need for social awareness while she freely shared herself and her individuality. As the rain echoed on the gym roof her Amazing Grace Medley rang high above it all. Look all around you was John Fischer ' s moving message. Reaching out to those around them, strangers and friends, the audience eagerly experienced the warmth of the line touch someone near you and love if you can . These con- certs caused the audiences not just to realize the vitalness of their mes- also to experience it. The 73 ASCLC Executive Cabinet And Senate Members of the executive cabinet.
