Heber Holloway Miss Florence Timmerman Principal Vice Principal This first year at California High School has been a memorable and exciting one. We have all been pioneers and it has been a great thrill to see our high school rise out of a bare field and become a living reality. The same ingenuity that our forefathers showed in the development of the West was evident again and again in our students, teach- ers and parents. l'm convinced more and more each year that the spirit, which has made our country great, is still vitally alive in our young people. Being your principal has been a wonderful and valuable experience for me. I hope that your first year at California High School will be for each of you, too, something you will always cherish and remember. Heber H. FAC L'l'Y Taking an active part in campus activities this year was the Calhi faculty. Their iobs were not only that of teaching but also finding time from their busy schedules to hold positions as advisers for campus clubs, extracurricular activities and chaperoning at school functions. Without the fac- ulty's expert guidance in the organization of rep- resentative boards, traditions, andthe student gov- ernment, such a successful year would not have been possible. One of the highlights of the year for both teach- ers and students was the Faculty-Varsity basket- ball game, which proved so popular that it will be an annual event with the winning team receiv- Q .,, KLNSDON K A' sig, - -I 7 .
