The 1953 Boys State Senate takes time out for a picture in the State Capitol Senate Chamber. Counselor Dick Horton and Tommy Lee, Senate Clerk, served as advisors to the Senate. Lieut. -Gov. Joe Agapay presides. Department Commander Louis K. Gough was thrilled by the rally and the entire program, when he made Iiis official visit in 1950. He is shown here speaking to the combined meeting of the Federalist and Whig Parties. On the platform with Comdr. Gough are other Department Officers. The 1952 Staff had the honor of having Department Commander John Home as the Chief Legal Counselor. Home had served in that capacity for many years before.
