SACRAMENTO LEGIONNAIRES HELP BOYS STATE The enthusiastic reception and support given to the Boys State program by the Legion- naires of the city and county of Sacramento have been marvelous. The details of regis- tration, passing out supplies and T shirts, and assisting the medical staff with the physical examination are some of the responsibilities assumed by the local veterans. Mitch Story heads up a transportation committee which meets trains and busses. The Capital City Women ' s Post and the Virginia Boden Post alternate turns at the manage- ment of the canteen and the sale of photographs. Sloat City Wins Honors in 1951 Counselor Willard Wilt is proud of the inspection record of his city. The name of Dewey Baker is known to hundreds of boys over many years. It is almost a tradition for the Baker family to supply the food at Boys State. First, Dewey Baker, Sr. and now Dewey, Jr. together witli his wife, mother, sister and other relatives manage the kitchen and dining room. Mrs. Baker is standing between her son and husband.
