S .tl fowl em 5. 5 WV The l3rincipal's Message The turmoil and unrest which characterizes this period. of global strife have in some degree permeated the daily life and work of all of us. Yet, in spite of this, the great majority of the students of C. U. H. S. have not faltered in following the course which they have chartered for themselves. All of you, I am sure, have either consciously or unconsciously become imbued with a thorough realization that enlightment comes only to the inquiring mind and that there can be no such thing as education which is not mindful of the un- restrainable forces surrounding us. To these forces the edu- cated man adjusts himself lest he be controlled. or destroyed by them- To the graduates of the class of 1945 I entreat you to .iii develop a disdain for your weaknesses and to cultivate an un- ' '59 daunted confidence in your own strength, with an expectation of reward for labor commensurate with the efforts exerted.
