CLASS HISTORY Remember when thrrty green freshmen took our places ID study hall? Plenty of handy Shamolians rolled in from their sales to those with a sweet tooth' Ruth Sheffer was chief check writer A11 this activity resulted in Easter vacation We shall never forget our Washington trip After that life began to seem hectic but enjoyable We let the juniors struggle with the plans for the junior senior picnic while we produced our yearbook and made ready for C1 iss Day Then came our last grand affair the Alumni banquet The memorable day has arrived Those figures in caps and gowns moving about the corridors are the seniors gett ng ready for commencement The commencement program this year will be presented in the form of a pageant This is something new and different for our school but many others have adopted the plan in recent years For many as students at C H S it will be their ean Tennent and her right hand man the xice president 1m Dempsey will be among those continuing their schooling in in ti utions of higher learning next year That efficient treasurer Florence Bartalo who handled our financial affairs in such great style with our class secretary Mary Callan will be studying the ifs and ands of the business world at the beginning of the next semester Thus the success story of the sen ors of 1941 goes Thev went in green and came out young men and women at the cross roads of another new life The Senior Class of 1941 as a whole extends to the un1or Class as rosy a future as was its fate Elizabeth Flick Class Historian 1 A z f. l I C 1 C L L l .
