Carolsn King flies out the door to get home. Jo Ferguson is all smiles about the whole idea. I im Barkley takes a break from the hustle bustle. Mary Richards and Laura Burkitt appear to be discouraged. It seems as though everyone is ready and waiting to get home. 5

SNOW DAZE Smiles were seen as everyone was leaving. Everyone's smiling while wailing for the announcement about leaving early was made. SNOW!! At times it seemed as if the snow would never stop falling. School was cancelled 14 times and often we would meet only one or two times a week. The worst blizzard of the sea- son completely shut down the entire state. Highways, schools, businesses, and even the govern- ment closed down. Governor Rhodes declared Ohio a disaster area. It was called by many the worst storm in history. The pictures on these pages were taken Thursday. January 19. Though this was the only day we made it to school that week, we still didn’t attend all of our classes. School was dismissed after 5th period so we could go home before the latest snowstorm hit. Everyone appears to be satisfied with leaving early. Lisa Kovach sees nothing unhappy about leaving early that day. 4 No one could wait to get outside.
