Walt and Marianne Class Prophecy A thick, smoky fog has just settled over the evening dusk. By the flickering flame of the half-melted candle on the table, you can see a crystal ball. As you peer closer you will see weird shapes and images reflected. While the year is yet 1953, the atmos- phere of the crystal ball appears to be the year of 1965. Let’s gaze deeper into the future: Lucy Archer is working in Kentucky for Lucky Strike, worming tobacco. Judy Ball was last seen heading west—still hunting a man. Gene Briggs is practicing here in Caldwell as a well known optometrist, xz Patsy Caldwell has just joined the law firm of Hinkle, Dinkle, and Caldwell. A1 Christopher has retired from professional baseball to sepnd more time with Albert Jr. and Paul. Joanne Crock has just completed a course in How to Overcome Bashfulness. ” Sam Ditch is still in medical school; he can't seem to get past the maternity ward. Harley Fowler has just recently taken over Vernon Archer’s house, car, job, and daughter. Joyce Frederickson has been given a cabinet post, by the President, as head of the complaint bureau. Bob Evilsizer just bought the bakery from Jim Landaker. Bob Hill is now president of How to Grow Tall, Inc. Rodney Jennings is now known as Caldwell’s gift to dentistry. Erma Johnson is a sergeant in the WAF’s. Russell Keith is the better half of Keith and Beyer. Reba Landaker is the proud mother of two sets of twins. Rose Lichwarcik has just taken over Margaret Archer’s job as school secretary. We have not heard from Erma Lowman since she ran off to get married. Wes Marshall is now owner of station WILE. Peggy McGregor and her boots have just left for Texas. Hilda Merritt is running for Commissioner of Noble County. Lillian Miller is now president of the C. G. B. Harold Nau is now known as the best carpenter in the Nau family now in Noble County. Johnnie Neely is still going out on Friday night and cannot figure out why the next morning is Monday. Thad Pickenpaugh has taken over Homer Weedon's job. Marybelle Pilcher has just taken over Miss Pryor's position. Andy Safigan is known as Hollywood’s greatest lover. Ronnie Schell is still supporting Ralph Huffman. Betty Schockling still has her engagement ring . . . but that is all. Vernon Schott has his own radio show over WWVA, called The Buck-Schott Hour.” Bernice Schafer is now modeling for AJAX modeling agancy. Clara Smith is running a bookie joint in the back of her beauty shoppe. Katy Snodgrass is still trying to win a talent show. Alice Stritz has replaced Dagmar on television. Tim Tarleton has just written a volume on How to Gain Weight. Marie Wiley is raising her sixth child.
