Class History Tear off another month from your calendar. Time Marches On. But let us halt time for a minute and travel backwards to the good old days of 1945. When our class was entering the seventh grade we were not accustomed to the bell system and changes of class but learned quickly. That school year soon ended and we had become eighth graders. In our eighth year we had many new interests and looked wishfully forward as we worked to complete Junior High School days. As Freshmen we didn’t seem to know what to do with ourselves just having four books instead of eight. By this time we had several classmates to represent our class in the band and having one of our boys receiving his football letter, while others were working hard in this field to receive their letters. Now as a year has gone by, we are now Sophomores. We now have boys play- ing basketball as well as football and doing very nicely as some made Varsity. Our subjects are harder, but of course, we are now taking subjects which will fit in to our future vocations. This being one of our most important years of all which means we are Juniors. We had a set time in which to raise money for our banquet in honor of the ''dig- nified Seniors. We chose the following officers carefully. President, Gerald Bates; Vice-President, Bob Cunningham; Secretary, Anna Sarisky; Treasurer, Elaine Heddleson; Sergeant-at-Arms, Hugh Walters. Mr. Hilligoss was our class advisor. To secure the amount needed we sold pop, hot dogs, and candy at both the football and basketball games. We also held the annual Halloween festival. We decided the banquet would be formal and would be held at the Cambridge Country Club. We used as our theme, April. The main event of the evening was a dance with music by Clair Dawson. Now we are in the homestretch making every minute of it count. Mr. Milligan is our home room teacher and our class advisor. The following officers were elected to help him. President, Richard Crum; Vice-President, Bill Christopher; Secretary, Nancy Secrest; Treasurer, Lois Roberts; Sergeant-at-Arms, Fred Anderson. Our class motto, We'll Find A Place, Or Make One. Our class flower is a white carnation. Now with all these pleasant memories we have come for the last time as students of Caldwell High School to our Commencement on May 25. 17 By Becky Shroyer
