An opportunity to keep up with the most recent veteran benefits is one of the club ' s most beneficial services. Any former member of our armed forces who re- ceived an honorable or medical discharge is eligible for membership. One of the club ' s main activities throughout the school year is a trip to the Oteen Veterans Hospital at Christmas, where the members cheer up the patients with baskets of fruit and friend- ly smiles. Comprised of four officers and 27 elected representatives, the various duties of the association include spon- soring dances, conducting campus elections, and nominating students for faculty committees. In February, they sponsored a most successful cookout for both those students now on campus and those thinking of coming to CCC and T1 to further their education. Winner of the mens ' low net trophy was Don Adams, with Tom Peter - kin as ru nnerup. Barbara Thomas led the field in the womens ' low net award.
