During Ihe morning session The meeling was officially opened. Greelings were given by rhe Principal of +he Oakdale High School and also by The Presiden+ of +he Oakdale Sludeni-body. The girls were enrerlained by music from Ihe Oakdale High School Trio and by a Symbolic Dance. The main address of The convenlion, also in lhe morning, was delivered by Dr. Aurelia Henry Reinhardt Presidenl of Mills Col- lege, who spoke on A Cenfury of Educarion for Women. The girls, Doris Murphy, Hazel Gregorini, Clara Belle Herfzig, Lorraine Zwinge, Beffy Jane Scheave, Cora Jones, and Mary Jane McSorley, were accompanied by Miss Peferson and Mrs. Murphy, as leader and chaperon. The group fhoroughly enjoyed fhe week-end, which was spenf affencling luncheons, sessions, dinners, discussions, and places of recreafion. The guesf speaker for fhe conference was Mrs. Mary Blair Wallace, a consulfanf on human relafions. She cenfered her falks around fhe four maior feafures of a girls life-sociefy, work, leisure, and love. Mrs. Wallace proved an inferesfing and sfimu- lafing lecfurer fo fhe leaders as well as fhe high school girls. The 'rheme of fhe conference fhis year was Progress , and various girls spoke on, Progress or Change , Sfreamline , Inven+ories , and The Sfrafosphereu. Richardson Springs is a beaufiful resorl' sifuafed in fhe hills of Buffe Counfy, near Chico and is nofed for ifs sulphur springs. The conference was ferminafed wifh a candle-lighf ceremony in which one girl from each school parficipafed.
